Valentines Day - Flirting With Your Spouse
So what’s the big deal about St. Valentine’s Day? Well it is the day of love, romance and flirting. What about married couples? I mean, married couples can still sizzle and dazzle each other even if they have been married, five, ten or twenty years, right? So lets start flirting.
Men, you first, have some fun and impress your wife with your love!
1. Set the ambiance and mood of the bedroom by turning off all the lights except one red light bulb in a corner lamp. Sit down on the bed and just stare into your wife’s eyes. You won’t be able to do this without laughing because your wife will want to know why you are behaving so strange. When she asks, tell her that you are flirting with her because you love her and miss giving her attention like you used to. She’ll love that.
2. Give her your smiling and laughing attention for the rest of the evening. Ask her how her day went. Get interested in your wife and what she has to say. Nothing makes a woman feel good about her self more than when her man is genuinely interested in her. Lock your gaze with her when you are listening to her talk. When she is done talking, kiss her lightly on the lips.
3. Prepare ahead of time something homemade and tasty to eat, like a chocolate fondue or a chocolate mousse pie. You can do this, if you put your mind to it. Homemade treats are so much more enjoyable and romantic then store bought. But if you really can’t cook, at least buy something chocolaty, that is if your wife likes chocolate.
4. Hug and touch your wife whenever you think of it. Don’t wait until you want sex, hug her and give her a back rub. Bring out the homemade pie and cut your wife a piece. Gaze at her lovingly as she gobbles down your delicious pie. Make her impressed with your cooking.
5. Hide an expensive box of chocolates under your wife’s pillow. After sex, talk some more, and don’t just roll over and go to sleep. Give her your full attention. Love the woman you married.
Ladies, you’re next. Do you ever flirt with your husband? Valentines Day is not just for lovers but for married lovers too. I don’t care how long you have been married; it is absolutely imperative that you keep your marriage upbeat, romantic, and hot!
1. If you normally don’t wear your hair up, then put it up in a sexy bun and put on some red lipstick and greet him at the door in something skimpy. Give him a long sensual kiss right before you sit down to eat his favorite home cooked meal. He might ask you what all this is for. Tell him that you miss flirting with him. He’ll like that.
2. Have your own Valentines chocolate hunt. Hide individual wrapped chocolates for your husband in your lingerie drawer. Give your husband little hints and clues about where the candy is without actually telling him. Have the candy hidden in a pair of new skimpy, lacy, sheer panties.
3. Put on a brand new slinky nightgown and sit down on the bed acting as if you only want to talk. Let one of the straps drape down on your arm. Make sure you are wearing his favorite perfume and your hair is tidy and combed. Start reading your favorite book. Glance up at him every once in while and give him a big smile. Continue playing hard to get for a while and watch what happens.
4. Buy some new red silk sheets, and have the bed drawn back and ready for love. Have only one candle lit. Hide a box of expensive chocolates under your husband’s pillow.
Enjoy loving the man you married!

Valentines Cards An Art Project Or Should They Be Store Bought
Giving Valentines to your classmates used to include endless hours of making them out of construction paper, cute dollies and with painstaking attention to all the details. It was a project that was done at home, for each individual child in the class. And, it was one that great pride was taken in doing. Today, there are much fewer families making Valentines and many more just buying a box of them to give out to their classmates with a simple signature on the back of them.
This has happened mainly because of how commercialized the holiday has become. As manufacturing techniques have gotten better and more cost effective that is the way that American school children have gone. Before this, in the 1960’s, a book of valentines could be purchased. Children could actually cut out the cards from the book, personalize them with lace trim or even with candy and then send them on. But, it wasn’t long before children were ready to skip the cutting out part altogether.
The Puns
Who hasn’t smirked at the cute sayings that are placed on the Valentines cards? Such sayings as “I’m Sweet On You” have been used for years and years. It came from a time of collecting these types of catchy, cute sayings and riddles. These can still be found today on the Valentines that are purchased out of the box.
The Cards
The cards used to fill a box with a variety of different styles and designs. Common ones were those of fruits and vegetables with these puns on them or they could include a few pictures of cute animals. Today, children’s Valentines are more often in their favorite cartoon character.
Homemade Valentines
While children may not feel comfortable with providing homemade Valentines to their classmates today, they can and should still make them for their friends outside the classroom, for their adult friends and other loved ones. Not only is it a fun task to do, but it helps with motor skills and creativity as well. All that is needed is a simple piece of paper. The paper can be folded, cut, shaped in any way that they would like it to be. Here’s one project to try:
* Fold the paper in half, and then fold it in half again in the other direction.
* Trim the outer edge as desired and cut a straight line diagonally across the folded corner. This will make a diamond shape in the middle.
* Fold it diagonally. Cut hearts along the diagonal line. When the paper is unfolded, there is a line of pin pricks, which make it look much like a piece of lace.
* Add this lacey paper to the top of a piece of pink or red paper.
* Add decorations such as a picture of cupid, a coloring of a rose or anything that is enjoyable.
This is a simple, affordable way to make homemade Valentines that parents and other friends will love to hang on to for many years to come. If your child seems to want to use only Valentines that are store bought, this should be okay as well. Allow them to pick those that they find enjoyable and help them to make those for others as well.

Valentines Day Gifts
Gifts constitute the nitty-gritty of Valentine’s Day. Traditionally speaking, gift giving on Valentine’s Day was a symbolic gesture and a token of love and appreciation for the special people in one’s life. During earlier times, gifts were especially exchanged between lovers. However, with the passage of time, gifts for Valentine’s Day have acquired commercial significance.
Nowadays, exclusive packaging classifies gifts for the day into numerous categories. There are special Valentines Day gifts for him as well as Valentine’s Day gifts for her. Gifts for Valentine’s Day also include creative and personalized gifts. The traditional gifts are often renamed as gifts of the sentimental and classic section.
A great romantic gift between Valentine’s Day couples could be a photo album with a series of romantic photos of togetherness. Gifts for a girlfriend or a spouse could feature a red rose preserved in gold. Whether gold, silver, or diamonds, rings are a top favorite for any female. A heart-shaped pendant embossed with a Valentine’s Day message or a name would be an amorous gift for lovers. Amongst other gifts, clothing, perfumes, toiletries, books, and music are other common items.
One all-time favorite gift for Valentine’s Day is chocolate, especially the heart-shaped chocolate. Teddy bears symbolizing warmth, hugs, and affection also make the list of favorite gifts.
If Valentine’s Day were all about sentiment and emotions, a hand-bound book with preprinted pages filled with loving thoughts and bound together in ruby red silk with a satin cord would be the perfect gift to convey the feeling for the occasion. An elegantly designed, keepsake book, silver-plated or otherwise, with memories of yesteryears would be sentimental gift that one would cherish forever.
Amongst utility gifts, plated pens are great gift ideas. Address books, decorated writing pads, or personal digital diaries could be useful gifts for anyone. If one runs short of gift ideas for Valentine’s Day, a gift certificate is also a viable solution.
Whatever the modifications might be, gifts for Valentine’s Day are tagged with a special significance. In times where the ticking clock dominates life, the gifts on this day of festivity are a reminder of the basic emotions of human bonding and love. The essence of gift giving overrides the lavishness gifts may display and augment the rich gift giving traditions that have continued through generations on Valentine’s Day.
